Thank you for visiting my website!  I am a native East Tennessean, and have lived most of my life in this beautiful part of the country.  I received my Bachelor's of Social Work degree from East Tennessee State University, and my Master's of Social Work degree from University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a concentration in Clinical Practice.  As a therapist, I adhere to evidence-based treatments including, but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotional Intelligence Couples Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy and Solution-Focused Behavioral Therapy.

I believe in remaining positive, and in helping clients explore their own unique strengths. I believe it is sometimes necessary for us to "deconstruct" the negative messages that we learned as children or as adults and "reconstruct" them into positive affirmations that better fit who we are today. Almost everyone, at one time or another, can benefit from therapeutic counsel. Each of us can hold several different roles in our daily lives, either as a spouse, a parent, an employee or simply as an individual. It is worthwhile to occasionally redirect or refocus our perspective to make sure it still "lines up" with the person we want to be and the life we want to have.

***As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I do not prescribe medications, but will be happy to consult with appropriate medical personnel with your signed permission.
